Combat stress and anxiety with Phillip McKnight, our very own professional mindfulness teacher. Explore and develop a practice of mindfulness meditation in your daily life.
Phillip has experience teaching a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and abilities and uses his MA in Instructional Systems Design to determine the needs of the participant and help them develop skills in mindfulness meditation with tools for body, heart, mind, and community. Trained in the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, Phillip will work with the participant to tailor a coaching plan to help them meet their goals.

Mindfulness for Athletic Performance
Improve your game by bringing calm, focus, and confidence into your sport. Register for a one-time session or 6-week session where the athletes will learn how to apply attention to the present moment to improve performance. By the end of the 6-week session, the athlete will know how to apply mindfulness to their sport to meet their goals and improve their personal performance.
Example Mindfulness Instruction
Itinerary for 6 Sessions
Schedule is personalized based on your needs and goals.
Session 1: Introductions and intentions. In this session we determine our goals, define mindfulness, identify blocks to happiness, and begin our journey of incorporating mindfulness into daily life.
Session 3: Mindfulness of emotions. We will learn to recognize and befriend emotions through the "RAIN" practice.
Session 5: Compassion for ourselves and others. We will learn the practice of working skillfully with our own and others challenges, increasing a sense of connection, empathy, and care.
Session 2: Mindfulness of thoughts. We will learn to create a wise relationship with our thoughts so that they work for us and not against us.
Session 4: Mindfulness and Nature. We will learn to let nature be our guide to the present moment through attention to our senses.
Session 6: Gladdening the mind and seeing the good in life. We will learn how to shift our attention to what uplifts us using scientifically proven strategies for well being.

Coaching takes place at a local natural park convenient to you and is available online by request.
Costs
$60 per session
$50 per person with groups of 3-9
$30 per person with groups of 10 or more
Participants are asked to bring a water bottle, a notebook and pen, and shoes that are suitable for walking near the creek (as you will practice mindfulness near the water). 6 feet physical distancing will be in place due to COVID.
