About the Program

Hosted by CNIT and Razz Yoga Studio, Embracing Winter offers practical and soulful guidance for finding steadiness amid the darker season. While many of us brace against the cold and the early sunsets, cultures who experience the longest winters often cultivate the greatest happiness—by embracing the season rather than resisting it. In this workshop, you'll explore the psychological and physiological effects of seasonal change and learn evidence-based strategies to support mood, energy, and emotional balance.  Together, we’ll practice the principles of Hygge and Friluftsliv to cultivate comfort, joy, and connection, even in the coldest months. You’ll create personalized winter rituals that encourage rest, resilience, and grounding, and discover the therapeutic potential of “wintering” as a metaphor for navigating periods of stillness in your own life. Leave with renewed appreciation for winter’s quiet gifts—and tools to help you move through the season with warmth, ease, and intention.
