Do you desire practical tools to nurture your connection with others and with a power greater than all of us? This year-long, monthly series will provide practices to strengthen your inner goodness and spiritual well-being, enabling you to live more fully with love and compassion. A collaborative team of leaders will share practices from the world’s spiritual traditions. Each gathering will include an overview of the practice, time to experience the practice, and brief small group discussions. We will gather on the last Monday of every month.

August 30: Connecting to Nature. Many people can identify with the notion of enriching themselves spiritually when spending time in nature and consequently experiencing spiritual consolation and nourishment, beauty, solitude, and well-being. Learn how to deepen your connection to nature through the eco-spiritual exercise of a sit spot practice. Sit spot is truly the simplest cure for our modern-day overstimulated and technologically focused society. When practicing sit spot one simply sits quietly, wakes up to the lifeforce all around us, and consequently cultivates deep awareness of our internal and external world. Often people who practice sit spot report that close encounters with birds, plants, trees & animals inspire a sense of awe & wonder. What a wonderful way to tend to the spirit.
