About the Event
The retreat will include a morning of SoulCollage followed by lunch. In the afternoon, we will welcome Kate Galarza who will present: Nourishing Herbs for the Nervous System: From Seed to Cup.
SoulCollage® is an expressive, creative arts practice that uses the simple process of collage as a pathway to reflection, self-discovery, and inner wisdom. It is a powerful way to access your intuition and deeper self by combining magazine images in ways unique to your imagination. No previous artistic experience or skills are necessary but knowledge of the SoulCollage® process is required* for this program. In order for you to have a meaningful experience, our facility, Annette Laugel, requests that we view a “Introduction to SoulCollage” video Annette prepared.
All professionals working in the mental health field can learn approaches and strategies to protect themselves from being emotionally overwhelmed by their work. One delicious strategy includes incorporating medicinal teas that nourish your nervous system and regulate your cortisol levels. Come enjoy an embodied experience learning how to grow, harvest, and make tea from this potent medicine. In this workshop, we will be tasting tea from each plant before discussing their growing preferences, therapeutic actions, and traditional uses. We will touch upon connections to gardening, steeping methods, and what the taste of plants can tell you.
