The Art of Clouds and Floating Ink
Join Katie & Renee to experience making marbled paper
Katie will offer techniques/understanding from suminagashi ("ink floating") tradition from Japan.
November 10 - 11-12:30 pm
Supplies & paper provided by CMHC
In the Turkish tradition, known as ebru* - translates to "the art of clouds."
In the Japanese tradition, known as suminagashi - translates to “floating ink.”
Each of these long-held traditions are known for their fluid, meditative, and calming qualities.
*"Cloud" is ebr in Turkish and abri in Persian.
