About the Program

Tummy Time with the Trees is a 5-week nature-informed therapy support group designed for new mothers navigating the early, tender season of postpartum life. Led by perinatal therapist Ariel Wagerman, LMSW, this Sunday series invites moms to step outside the walls of a traditional therapy office and into the healing rhythm of the natural world — restoring kinship with the wild while restoring a sense of self.

Each week offers a gentle, structured space where moms can bring their babies for tummy time while getting grounded themselves. Sessions include:

  • A mindful walk through the peaceful landscape of Serviceberry Farm

  • A grounding sensory activity to help attune the body and mind to the present moment

  • A poetry reading to nourish reflection and emotional connection

  • A confidential, nonjudgmental circle to share the highs, lows, and hopes of early motherhood

This group is built for moms who are less than one year postpartum, with babies who are not yet mobile and can comfortably lay or sit on a blanket (or against mom) for 30–50 minutes. Whether you're processing the emotional weight of new motherhood, craving connection with other moms who understand, or simply longing for fresh air and quiet nature, this series meets you where you are.
