Team

CLINICAL APPROACH

Cathy uses a variety of approaches to therapy and caters each one to the individual client’s needs. Cathy is drawn to using a person-centered approach, as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Brainspotting for trauma, Nature informed therapy, and art and play therapy techniques. Cathy’s main goal is to help clients understand themselves better, and to get clarity on how their attachment wounds in childhood can affect their relationships in their teens and adulthood. This leads to healing and growth, which in turn leads to a more balanced, peaceful and happier life.
In supervision, Cathy enjoys working with LGPCs who are interested in discussing clinical cases that are challenging for them, as well as bringing in questions they may have related to their LGPC journey such as transference or countertransference, imposter syndrome, keeping track of hours, etc.
