About the Event

Creating a welcoming environment and providing a healing presence are important contours in offering clinical therapy to members of the LGBTQ+ community. This program will explore various ways to engage LGBTQ+ clients through recognizing the marginalization and trauma that have accompanied the reality of their sexual and gender identities. An informational component, meaning-making exercises, and a ritual will be included in this program and will be facilitated within the landscape of Nature.  We will be starting in the group room and then moving to Goucher College for an experiential activity.
