Vivian will share Murray Bowen's Family Systems process of understanding families and conceptualizing cases. This will include an exploration of the Nuclear Family Emotional System, along with the ultimate goal of Differentiation of Self. She will explore Triangles and Cutoffs and how you can identify and work with these issues within the family to heal emotional wounds. Vivian will demonstrate the usefulness of the Genogram in therapy and share a case study to demonstrate the effectiveness of using this process to understand and facilitate change.

Please bring plain paper, a pen/pencil, and three different color crayons to create a genogram. Vivian will share a style of collecting information that she created from using genograms with children in her practice. She will also share a Google Genogram Template that can be used in your practice.
