About the Event

Phillip will be performing shadow puppetry called Crankies (pictured below) which are scrolling panoramas. This art form utilizes paper-cuts, silhouettes, stories, poetry, and live music. Come on out to enjoy a night of fun, community, and magic with stories ranging from the wonders of nature to hiking the Appalachian trail.

Phillip McKnight is a budding puppeteer who was mystified by the magic of the shadow puppetry work of Katherine Fahey. He is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Jamaica), Musician, Nature Guide and storyteller. He is excited to share the medicine of story, music, shadow puppetry in community, making art with recycled materials and sharing lessons he has learned along the way.
