LGPC

Audra is an LGPC (Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor) and earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. She has additional training in nature-informed and trauma-informed therapy and is dedicated to providing affirming and collaborative care. Before pursuing a career in counseling, she trained as an actor—a path that broadened her mind to the nuanced, beautiful, and often complex nature of what it means to be human. Her experience in the arts has cultivated a deep sense of empathy and an appreciation for the complexity of people’s inner worlds. This foundation continues to shape her work as a therapist, where she offers warmth, curiosity, compassion, and a bit of humor to each therapeutic relationship.
When she isn’t in the office, she enjoys being in nature, whether it is hiking, standup paddleboarding, camping, or rock climbing. She also enjoys jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, and reading. She is also passionate about sound healing and can be found facilitating soundbaths around town, including at CMHC!
CLINICAL APPROACH
Her approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory (PVT), narrative therapy, trauma-informed, and nature-informed practices to help clients reconnect with their values, stories, and embodied experiences.
She views therapy as a collaborative, holistic process that considers the whole person— their emotions, thoughts, body, relationships, culture, and environment. She aims to meet clients exactly where they are, providing a nonjudgmental space where safety, curiosity, and self-compassion can flourish. Her goal is to help clients reconnect with their innate wisdom and gain confidence to navigate challenges with greater awareness and flexibility, fostering a stronger connection with themselves and others, and moving toward lives that feel meaningful and authentic.

“Really great and supportive!”
“Wonderful.”
“Audra is wonderful, kind, curious, and warm. Audra has encouraged me to revisit glimmer moments in nature, bringing a certain nature setting to my mind’s eye during distress and inviting more calm in my body—often a deeper breath and decreased hyperarousal.”
“It has been positive so far. I have enjoyed my time at CMHC.”
