Ariel understands navigating the constant changes of life can be overwhelming and challenging, but that doesn’t mean you have to navigate it alone. Therapy can help empower you to find the rewarding parts of change despite when there are challenges and teach you how to use your strengths to cope with future life transitions. Ariel’s goal in fostering a therapeutic space is to help individuals get to a place mentally and emotionally so they can live their life to their fullest potential. By working with Ariel, you can expect a collaborative, team-approach to set and reach milestones on the way to harnessing your full potential. Ariel’s areas of interest are perinatal therapy and enhancing maternal mental health which she does by working with those who are expecting, trying to conceive, experiencing the postpartum period, and navigating transitions onward throughout parenthood. Ariel also enjoys working with young adults and adults who may be struggling with difficult life transitions, anxiety, or depression.
CLINICAL APPROACH
Ariel holds a master’s in social work from Salisbury University and a bachelor’s of social work with a minor in psychology from University of Maryland – Baltimore County. Ariel’s remains dedicated to continuously enhancing and growing her therapeutic abilities by learning new modalities and specialties while integrating individualized care for all of her clients. Ariel practices from a strengths-based, solution-focused approach while incorporating motivational interviewing (MI) as well as components of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). Ariel aims to create a safe, relaxed environment where you can openly share your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment, even when those thoughts challenge societal norms. Ariel has completed additional training in I-CBT to enhance her work with supporting individuals who are living their life with OCD. Additionally, Ariel has taken Postpartum Support International’s Components of Care training to aid in her work with those experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
