Katja is a trauma informed therapist and works collaboratively with all her clients providing a safe and engaging environment, while maintaining a strengths-based approach. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, as well as creative and expressive modalities, such as breathwork, art therapy, and nature-based therapies to foster emotional growth, healing, and regulation. Additional areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, divorce, life transitions, and self-esteem. Katja draws on fundamental psychotherapy and counseling approaches that facilitate insight, compassion, and understanding into one’s own thoughts and experiences. She believes providing clients with a safe, empathetic, caring, and trusting environment is crucial in helping clients develop personal growth, self-awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion.

Through the techniques of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, anxiety nature based and mindfulness therapy, Katja aspires to support clients to develop and work toward achieving personal goals, as well as providing clients with tools to become more aware of the connections between the body and mind.
