Team

CLINICAL APPROACH

In her practice, Jan offers clients a safe space and compassionate presence in which to explore their challenges to living more fully, and to practice effective strategies for addressing those challenges, employing an eclectic person-centered approach informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and interventions for healing grief and working with resilience and motivation. Her approach is invitational rather than prescriptive and assumes full client participation in a collaborative journey toward greater wholeness for the client. Spiritual experience is an important part of clients’ lives in whatever way that experience may be understood to support their lives and is honored and valued in Jan’s counseling approach.
