Alex (she/her) is a graduate student at Antioch University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. She has earned a BA in Contemplative Psychology with a concentration is Somatic Psychology from Naropa University. Her clinical interests include complex and developmental trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, and adjustment to life transitions. Alex believes that all people have their own inherent wisdom and as a counselor, she aims to support clients to embody their truest, most authentic self. She utilizes trauma informed, person-centered, existential, and social justice frameworks to support the whole individual to achieve their desired goals. Alex’s utilization of a holistic model of counseling integrates the understanding of clients through their individualized and contextualized lived experiences, which consider the multiplicity of client needs. Alex seeks to meet these needs through client advocacy, empathetic listening, and collaboration with clients to create safer spaces.
