Sean Newhart

Sean Newhart is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor and received his doctoral degree in Counselor Education from the College of William & Mary and his master’s degree in Counselor Education (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Clemson University. Sean has worked across a variety of contexts, including batterers intervention, partial hospitalization, university counseling centers, and a clinic for couples and families. Sean believes the establishment of a strong therapeutic relationship is paramount to effective psychotherapy and integrates a range of interventions based on his clients and their presenting difficulties.

Phillip McKnight

Phillip has experience teaching a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and abilities and uses his MA in Instructional Systems Design to determine the needs of the participant and help them develop skills in mindfulness meditation with tools for body, heart, mind, and community. Phillip will work with the participant to tailor a coaching plan to help them meet their goals for mindfulness practices including kindness, compassion, and forgiveness which can be applied to relationships, conflict, trauma, organizational wisdom, and societal change.

Susan Watson

Susan follows an Integrative and Holistic approach to mental health counseling. She believes the impact of physiological stressors on one’s mental health are sometimes overlooked and resources which bring a client strength and meaning can be holistically integrated into therapy. When working with client’s struggling with anxiety, she has noted the value of addressing an “overreactive” alarm system which may have been ingrained early in life. She has seen anxiety reduced in clients through mindfulness and the practice of breathwork.

Donna earned her Master’s Degree in 2004 from Loyola University in MD in Pastoral Counseling. This unique program, holistic in nature, integrated psychology and spirituality to

her clients access the wisdom that already resides in them to allow healing and growth.

She holds an M.S. degree from the Johns Hopkins University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. Nicole also has a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Before changing careers, she was a Project Manager for a large software company. Nicole has experience working with adults, adolescents, and children, each with their own unique strengths and challenges.

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Registered Yoga Teacher and a Certified Yoga Nidra Facilitator trained in the Integrative Amrit Method. I earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of California Berkeley School of Social Welfare, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Haverford College and studied Philosophy of Healing in Action at The Maryland University of Integrative Health. My psychotherapy practice incorporates insights and techniques drawn from contemplative traditions in addition to more traditional therapeutic interventions.

I have been working since 2012 as an Enneagram coach with individuals one on one and assisting couples/partners in their relational strengths and challenges using the Enneagram as a guide. I currently teach both Introductory Enneagram courses as well as Going Deeper with the Enneagram workshops for Well for the Journey and The Meadow. Zoe Jack

Zoe Jack earned her Master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland where she specialized in clinical work with families and children. Zoe has over four years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and children in a therapeutic capacity. Some of her professional experiences include practicing in the deserts of Utah as a wilderness therapy guide and working in the forests of Vermont as a behavior interventionist for individuals exposed to early trauma. In 2017, Zoe had the opportunity to thru hike the 2,190 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, solidifying her therapeutic philosophy that connection and presence lead to meaningful healing and growth.

Zoe also holds her registered yoga teacher certification through the Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Maryland and believes in bringing holistic, grounded approaches to each therapeutic relationship.

Katja Engel-Huges

Katja Engel-Hughes is a graduate student of clinical mental health counseling at Liberty University. She has earned a B.S. degree in Business and Hospitality and Tourism Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. After having worked for more than ten years as a Pharmaceutical and Medical Sales Representative for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, Katja took time off to raise her children before pursuing her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Liberty University. Her anticipated graduation date is December 2020.
Katja draws on fundamental psychotherapy and counseling approaches that facilitate insight, compassion, and understanding into one’s own thoughts and experiences. Katja believes providing clients with a safe and trusting environment is crucial in helping clients develop personal growth, self-awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion in order to overcome life challenges and provide clients with therapeutic tools to achieve greater peace within themselves. Understanding each client has their own unique needs and goals, Katja provides a personalized holistic counseling approach to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Through the techniques of acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness therapy, Katja aspires to support clients to develop and work toward achieving personal goals, as well as providing clients with tools to become more aware of the connections between the body and mind.
