Donna earned her Master’s Degree in 2004 from Loyola University in MD in Pastoral Counseling. This unique program, holistic in nature, integrated psychology and spirituality to
help consider the whole person’s well-being. Donna is passionate about this approach to help
her clients access the wisdom that already resides in them to allow healing and growth.
I honor the therapeutic relationship as a sacred container for growth and transformation. Asking the hard questions and facing dis-ease takes courage and change only happens in a safe and caring space.
My clinical approach is psychodynamic, humanistic, insight oriented and holistic - honoring mind, body, and spirit. I embrace Jungian principals and am comfortable supporting others with issues of faith and spiritual growth.
I have found Brainspotting, the body and brain based scientific therapy, I am certified in, to be tremendously healing to facilitate emotional release and insights. How amazing our neurobiology is!
Teaching mindfulness and meditation are incorporated in my work as well as CBT and Emotion-al Freedom Technique.
I approach the healing process by deeply listening, and collaborating with clients to help them,
1) truly honor the whole of themselves,
2) to reconcile trauma and
3) grieve and make meaning of loss
I work with adults, teens, and families and have a special interest in helping women ( of faith ) heal from codependence and emotionally abusive relationships to move forward with self-love, health and dignity.
Currently, I am studying to obtain a certification in Holistic Wellness Coaching with the International Association of Wellness Practitioners.
