Lavina is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) trained at Johns Hopkins University, specializing in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and addictions. Lavina has great respect and compassion for mental and emotional challenges and the social and existential realities we all face as human beings. For more than 20 years, Lavina has dedicated her professional life toward improving health and wellness. Prior to counseling, Lavina worked in the fields of community health, international public health, and Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching. Lavina’s bi-cultural background also influences her stance toward the inherent worth and dignity of every person. As a therapist, Lavina considers it a privilege to honor your wisdom and strength while supporting your transformation, as you grow into the fullest expression of your well-being.

Lavina primarily leans toward a strengths-based and existential/ontological approach integrating mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other complementary methodologies. She has a special interest in continuing education related to neuropsychology, trauma, resiliency mindsets, and the connection between food and mood. Lavina is passionate about assisting clients to gain insight into their patterns, create new possibilities, and powerfully face anything missing or in the way of fulfilling on their goals.
