Position Details
We are seeking a compassionate, people-focused, and enthusiastic professional to join our team as the Practice Manager of our thriving nature-informed mental health group practice. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who is personable, organized, and process-oriented. As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Staff management: Lead and support our team of administrative and clinical staff, and interns, by handling recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and addressing any issues that arise. Tasks include::
o Identifying staffing needs and conducting interviews and hiring processes.
o Coordinating new team member onboarding and training.
o Fostering positive working relationships with clinicians and staff.
o Reviewing and enhancing team performance.
o Facilitating quarterly staff-wide office meetings.
o Collaborating with the leadership team and staff to address people-related concerns, including operations, administration, quality of care, disciplinary procedures, personnel issues, and employee satisfaction.
o Providing administrative supervision of non-clinical staff for efficient day-to-day operations.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including patient privacy, medical records, and licensing. Tasks include:
o Staying informed on local, state, and federal laws and regulations for mental health practices, as well as professional guidelines.
o Implementing policy and procedure changes as needed.
o Providing training and resources for staff members regarding compliance.
o Establishing a system for reporting and addressing compliance-related incidents.
o Identifying areas for improvement or enhancement in compliance efforts.
o Establish a system for reporting and addressing incidents related to compliance.
Marketing and community relations: Promoting the practice to attract new patients, fostering relationships with referring providers and community organizations, and managing the practice's online presence and reputation.
Strategic Planning: Assess current practice performance and develop a long-term plan for growth and sustainability, including setting goals and objectives, identifying expansion opportunities, and evaluating potential risks and challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and assess the practice's operations, and identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
Basic Qualifications:
Prior experience leading teams in a healthcare setting, preferably in a mental health environment.
A "can do" attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills and comfort in speaking to new people.
Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic health records systems.
Solid problem-solving skills.
Exceptional multi-tasking skills and adaptability.
Organizational skills - managing multiple schedules, meetings, and priorities.
Ability to work well with others and collaborate cross-functionally.
Flexibility in implementing or improving processes for practice growth.
Self-starter and highly motivated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a mental health setting
Professional mental health license in the state of Maryland is a plus

Hybrid – This role combines remote and in-office work.
Lively – Expect regular foot traffic from clients, clinicians, and staff.
Social – The ideal candidate is sociable and willing to engage with staff between sessions.
Dynamic – The role involves various tasks throughout the week.
Sensitive – You will interact with HIPAA-protected information and understand that clients may be in emotional distress.
Schedule:
Weekdays
Flexible hours
Ideally starting with 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours in the future
