The owner of Balanced Living Counseling and clinical director of CMHC, Dr. Schreiber-Pan also teaches at Loyola University, Maryland in the Counseling Psychology department. She has been exploring the concepts of psychological well-being, resilience, and connectedness to nature as well as spirituality for over 16 years. A leading expert on Nature-Informed Therapy.
Working collaboratively with her clients, Dr. Schreiber-Pan integrates mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral treatment methods and fundamental tenets of Existential Theory. Drawn from her extensive research in the field of nature-based counseling, she often includes nature as a healing component of treatment. Furthermore, part of her focus during her doctoral program at Loyola University, Maryland included spiritually-integrative counseling techniques which allow the client to draw from one's spirituality and/or religious background if so desired.
