Caitlin Spencer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and owner of Pink Lotus Counseling LLC. Caitlin has been working in the mental health field for over 10 years and has her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University. Caitlin has a post-graduate certificate in trauma treatment and implemented a mindfulness-based trauma treatment program at the VA for veterans with PTSD.
She is dedicated to working through a holistic wellness lens, healing the mind, body, and spirit. Working with Caitlin may include using creative expression, movement, mindfulness, grounding in nature, or “walk and talk” therapy in addition to client-centered talk therapy.
Caitlin’s treatment approach is eclectic and integrated, tailored to fit each client’s individual needs. Often times this includes using evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, as well as Somatic approaches (mind-body), strengths-based and solution-focused approaches.
Paramount to the success of treatment is the therapeutic relationship. Caitlin shows up authentically in the working relationship, allowing for a non-judgmental and compassionate, yet empowering space to develop insight and the build coping skills you need.
Caitlin believes that by building a deeper, more compassionate connection to your true self, you will be able to develop more meaningful connections with other in life.

In her private practice, she specializes in working with Millennials who are feeling depressed, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed and alone. She also treats PTSD and trauma-related symptoms, attachment issues, relationship issues, and disordered eating.
