Katie earned her Master of Arts in School Psychology from Towson University with additional coursework in Counseling Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She spent more than 20 years at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore providing treatment for individual and family problems within the clinic, home, and school settings. In her practice, she works with children, adolescents and their families to address a wide range of behavioral difficulties.

She utilizes evidence-based treatment such as Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to focus on academic challenges, anger management/tantrums/aggression, anxiety, ADHD, bedwetting/toileting problems, family issues, destructive behavior, executive function difficulties, mood disturbances, noncompliance/rules violations, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, fears, school behavior, sleep problems, social skills, and verbal abuse. She is a board-certified, licensed graduate professional counselor in Maryland with a masters degree in School Psychology from Towson University and additional training and experience from the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore. Katie’s education, experience, and training allows her to assist families who present with stressors surrounding their child's behavior including divorce/separation, bullying, blended families, peer conflict, transition to a new environment, or lack of social support.
